PORT HURON (WWJ) - A 6-year-old boy and his father were found shot to death in Port Huron in what police are investigating as a murder-suicide.

Police say officers responded to a home in the 3000 block of Cooper Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Monday on a welfare check and found the bodies of 35-year-old Robert William Lagrow, and his son, Weston Keith Lagrow.

The medical examiner will make a final ruling on a cause of death, but police say evidence at the scene shows a handgun was used.

Other circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact police at 810-984-5383. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Capture Hotline at 810-987-6688.
