FBI Searching For Gunman Wanted In Carjacking At Detroit Gas Station [PHOTOS]

(WWJ) The FBI is assisting Detroit Police in the search for a wanted gunman, and they're hoping someone can help identify him. 

According to investigators, the suspect threatened two people with a gun before stealing one of their cars on Thursday, July 30, at the BP on 8 Mile Road near Livernois, on Detroit's west side.

At around 9:15 a.m., police say the unidentified man approached a woman outside the gas station convenience store, pointed a handgun at her and demanded the keys to her car.

She escaped when the suspect’s attention was drawn to another person, according to police.

The suspect then pointed a gun at the second victim's head and demanded his car keys. The man handed them over, and the gunman drove off in the victim's black Honda Accord, fleeing south on Warrington.

No one was injured. 

The subject — who is seen in surveillance images released by authorities on Tuesday —  is described as a light-skinned Black male, with light brown or green eyes. He is approximately 6’ tall and weighs around 160 pounds.

At the time of these incidents, he was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a black facemask.

As the investigation continues, A reward of up to $2,500 is available for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest.
