DEARBORN (WWJ) - A gunman is at large after shooting another man multiple times during a domestic dispute in a Dearborn home that was filled with people.

The incident unfolded early Wednesday morning at a home on Boston and Banner streets, near Telegraph Road and Michigan Avenue.

Four adults and five children were inside the home when the gunman showed up and started an argument, during which a man was shot three times.

The gunman fled the scene and remains at large. The victim was transported to the hospital and was last reported in critical condition.

The mother of a woman who lives in the home, who did not want to be identified, said this isn't the first time they've had issues with the suspect. He's her daughter's ex-boyfriend and the father of one of the children inside when the shooting took place.

"My daughter is OK and the kids are fine but there was an innocent bystander that got shot three time. He was hanging out. They had friends over, they were all hanging out and he got shot," she said. "These men are out here now, they are hurting people because a woman don't like you or want to be with you. And that's ridiculous."

Police are searching for the gunman, identified as Jimmy Mitchell. He could possibly be driving a 2013 dark-colored Dodge Durango.

An investigation is ongoing.
