Hit-And-Run Driver Crashes Into Pedestrians On Roseville Sidewalk

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - Police say a hit-and-run driver was arrested Friday night after he struck two people and fled the scene, leaving the victims with serious injuries. 

The incident happened just after 7:45 p.m. in the area of Utica and Common roads.

According to police, a 23-year-old man and woman were walking on the sidewalk when they were struck by a vehicle that left the roadway.

The suspect sped off after the collision but was immediately located by Fraser police officers. The suspected driver, a 32-year-old Macomb County man, was taken into custody.   

Both pedestrians sustained major injuries and were transported to the hospital. The man was last reported in serious condition while the woman is in critical condition. 

The incident remains under investigation.
