DETROIT (WWJ) - JACK Entertainment is closing it's Detroit office, and will lay off everyone who works there.

The company owned by Dan Gilbert filed a notice with the State of Michigan of the pending layoffs at the business, which runs Greektown Casino.

Operations at the home office, located 580 Monroe St. in Greektown, are expected to end in the first quarter of 2020, with the office set to close in March.

"This will result in the permanent elimination of all positions in the JACK Home Office in Michigan, which will affect 92 team members. All team members will receive at least 90 days' notice prior to their position being eliminated," the notice states.

Those losing their jobs will have the opportunity to apply for positions at other JACK Entertainment properties and with the Rock Family of Companies owned by Gilbert. Company officials say the workers are getting help in seeking other employment, including workshops for resume writing. and most have already found new jobs.

"We are very optimistic that future affected team members will have the same success, and our leadership team will continue to support them throughout," the notice states.

The casino itself will remain open, with jobs there apparently not affected at this time.
