Man In Critical Condition After Being Struck By SUV In Detroit; Suspect Still On The Loose

The crash happened near Grand River and Greenfield.

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police in Detroit are on the lookout for a white SUV after a pedestrian was struck on Detroit's west side.

Authorities tell WWJ that a preliminary investigation shows around 7:30 p.m. Monday, a man believed to be 30-40 years old was walking in the area of Greenfield and Grand River when he was hit by the SUV.

The vehicle was seen fleeing northbound, before heading east on Lyndon.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Anyone who has information about the incident is urged to contact Detroit police.
