ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A 21-year-old man is behind bars awaiting charges in a deadly shooting at a Roseville bar over the weekend.

Police say the alleged shooter, a Clinton Township resident, is scheduled to be arraigned in 39th District Court Tuesday.

According to investigators, a 37-year-old Harrison Township man was fatally shot just before 1 a.m. Sunday at Dooley's Irish Tavern, on Gratiot Ave. south of 14 Mile Rd.

Police said the suspect and the victim were in the bathroom when they got into an argument that quickly turned physical. That's when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the other man.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the alleged gunman disarmed and being held at gunpoint by another bar patron, police said. The victim was found dead in the bathroom and the suspect was arrested.

Names of both the suspected shooter and the victim are being withheld at this time.

Other details, including if or how the men knew each other and what they were arguing about, are unclear.  More information is expected to be released in court.
