DETROIT (WWJ) -- The search is on for a shampoo thief in Detroit.

Police are asking for help in tracking down a man who stole numerous bottles of shampoo from the CVS in the 3200 block of Jefferson Avenue in the Rivertown neighborhood back on Feb. 15.

Authorities say the man walked into the store shortly before 3:30 a.m. and grabbed a shopping cart. Police released surveillance video of the incident that shows the man aggressively scooping up an armful of shampoo bottles and throwing them into his cart. He knocked several bottles off the shelves before walking away.

Then the man waltzed right out of the store and was seen fleeing the scene in a brown and white van in an unknown direction.
