Man Wanted For Stealing Watches From Detroit Shinola Store

(WWJ) Police are looking for a man who got away with at least a couple of thousand dollars worth of merchandise from the Shinola Store in Midtown Detroit. 

Authorities on Friday released surveillance images of the suspect who allegedly stole five watches from the upscale shop, located at 441 W. Canfield St.near Cass Ave., at around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17.

The suspect is described as a Black male, possibly in late 30s, bald, and around  5’9” tall with a slim build. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a white face mask, a white t-shirt with a yellow “Yeti” logo, dark colored pants and dark colored shoes at the time of the crime, 

The man fled on foot following the theft, heading westbound towards Canfield. 

Police did not offer any further details, including about how he got away with it. 

Hoping that someone in the public can identify the suspect, Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
