DEARBORN (WWJ) - Three teenagers are in police custody in connection with a deadly armed robbery in Dearborn.

Dearborn police say the teens are ages 17, 14 and 13 and were all arrested in the past few days, thanks to lots of tips, surveillance video and help from Detroit police. All three were arrested in Detroit.

The latest arrest comes less than a week after 29-year-old Saja Aljanabi was gunned down near Bingham and Tireman.

Investigators say Aljanabi was approached by two suspects and was subsequently shot during an apparent robbery. She was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries.

Police have said Aljanabi's death could be connected to two other armed robberies that happened near the crime scene that day. One incident was reported around 9:40 p.m. at Steadman and Morross, and the other reportedly happened at Bingham and Morross.

On Thursday, Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said one teen was arrested during a traffic stop, one at a park and the youngest was arrested on Thursday afternoon.

"I view it a tragedy. It's a tragedy for their families. I've actually talked to one of their parents and it's just unfortunate," Haddad said.

Her brother, who discovered her body just seconds after the shooting, was grateful for police.

"I'd just like to thank Dearborn police for their hard work," he said.

The suspects who approached all three victims were described as a short man wearing a white mask and all black clothing, and a tall, thin man wearing all black clothing.

On Saturday, officials released a photo of a vehicle that was observed on multiple surveillance systems in the area around the time of the crimes. Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad urged the public to review their home security videos for any information that could help identify the suspects.
