Missing Clinton Township Man's Minivan Found In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities are searching for missing Macomb County man whose vehicle was found in Detroit. 

According to Detroit police, 29-year-old Darius Campbell has not been seen or heard from since Saturday. Aug. 31, and tips are wanted in the case.

His red 2003 Chrysler Town & Country minivan was located by Detroit police last Thursday, Sept. 5, at Irvington and E. State Fair, in the area of 8 Mile Rd. and I-75, but there was no sigh of Campbell.

His sister, Shatia Karnick says Campbell told their mother he was going to visit a friend, but never came home and then didn't show up for work.

"We've talked to the very last person he was with, and her story keeps changing," Karnick said. "So we're really unsure of what to think, or what to make of the stories that we do have and that we thought were valid, because they keep changing."

She told WWJ's Sandra McNeill she also has concerns about a motorcycle club her brother joined.

"I know that he's been jumped a couple of times," Karnick said. "They would make him eat certain things that just weren't edible. They would, I guess, make him pay large sums of money, you know? Just different things."

Police said Campbell is believed to be in good physical and mental condition.
