MONROE (WWJ) - Police in Monroe are searching for a couple who may have been involved in the "suspicious death" of a Wayne County man.

Detectives are actively looking for 35-year-old Joshua Lee Doty and 37-year-old Krea Michelle Disabatino. Both are now considered persons of interest in the death of 44-year-old Delance Lanier, of Flat Rock.

Lanier was found dead around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday after Monroe police were called to the 700 block of Kentucky Ave. on a report of an unresponsive person who was bleeding from an apparent head injury. His body was transported to the Wayne County Medical Examiners Office, however, autopsy results are not yet available.

Detectives gathered information that led to two search warrants for residences in the 800 block of E. Seventh St. and the 900 block of Kentucky Ct. Police say evidence was discovered in both locations and several witnesses were interviewed, which led to the identification of Doty and Disabatino.

Anyone who has information or know the whereabouts of Doty and Disabatino are encouraged to contact the Monroe Police Department at 734-243-7500.
