DETROIT (WWJ) - A murder suspect who allegedly gunned down a man on Detroit's east side has managed to evade police for nearly two months now.

Investigators have been searching for 22-year-old Reondo Ventour since the fatal shooting took place on July 25.

According to police, the 28-year-old victim was involved in a physical altercation with another man on Gratiot Avenue, just north of East State Fair Avenue, when Ventour and another suspect pulled out weapons and fired several shots, fatally striking the victim.

The second suspect has since been located and taken into custody, but police are still searching for Ventour.

Ventour is described as a light-skinned black male, possibly wearing a low haircut. He's wanted for first-degree premeditated murder and felon in possession of a firearm.

Anyone with information on the shooting, Ventour or his possible whereabouts is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
