Pair Caught On Camera In Oakland County ATM Break-In [PHOTOS]

(WWJ) Oakland County authorities are searching for a pair of thieves who busted open an ATM, and got away with a quite a bit of cash. 

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says two men used a crowbar, chains and a stolen Ford F-250 pickup to break into the machine at the Chase Bank on 10 Mile Rd. near Johns Rd. in Lyon Township, early last Friday morning.

Deputies arrived to find multiple pieces from the damaged ATM in the bank parking lot, and the suspect vehicle was found abandoned a short distance away.

Deputies found a black box from the ATM inside the truck, which was reported stolen from Redford Township, and around $1,200 in $20 bills scattered around. There was a yellow crowbar in the truck bed, as well as heavy chains and two tow hooks attached to the trailer hitch. There appeared to be fresh paint transfer on the crowbar and tow hooks as well, according to investigators. 

There was around $170,000 was in the ATM at the time of the theft, the sheriff's office said. 

As the investigation continues, detectives are looking for the two suspects, described only as men wearing hoodies. One hoodie was red, and other was blue.
