BRUCE TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A 26-year-old Macomb County man is facing multiple charges after he was caught allegedly driving drunk with several weapons in his vehicle.

Michigan State Police say troopers were dispatched late Friday night to the area of Brown Road and Ebeling Road in Bruce Township after a driver was found slumped over the wheel. Troopers located the vehicle and found it to be parked and running.

The unconscious driver, an Armada man, was found to be intoxicated, according to police, and was arrested at the scene. During a search of the man's vehicle, police located and seized three long guns.

The driver was lodged at the Macomb County Jail pending charges of operating while intoxicated -- high blood alcohol content, and possession of firearm while intoxicated.
