TAYLOR (WWJ) - A 51-year-old Taylor man remains missing after his boat capsized on Lake Erie over the weekend.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Kenneth Stephen Sisk disappeared after his 16-foot fishing boat overturned about a mile offshore, near Bolles Harbor in Monroe Township.

Searchers were able to rescue a second man, identified as a 28-year-old Monroe resident, where the vessel was found Sunday morning, upside down and tangled up in fishing net. The man was hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Coast Guard Detroit Sector told WWJ Newsradio 950 that their search had been suspended as of 4 p.m. Sunday.

Monday morning, sheriff's deputies, Michigan DNR Officers and representatives of the company that owns the fishing nets the boat got tangled in went back out to the overturned boat, sheriff's officials said. They again searched the area, but were unable to locate Sisk.

The sheriff's office said that "due to weather conditions and the safety of everyone involved," all search and recovery efforts would be suspended until conditions improve.

Officials said they don't know if Sisk was wearing a life jacket.
