Troy Police Searching For Home Invasion Suspect Caught On Video

TROY (WWJ) - Troy police have released video of a suspect wanted in an alarming home invasion. 

It happened at around 2 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, according to investigators, in the 700 block of Amberwood, near W. South Blvd. and Rochester Road. 

Police said an adult female resident was in her bed when she felt someone touch her leg. She screamed and saw the suspect run from the room. Multiple family members were home at the time of the incident and nothing was reported stolen, police said.
 
The suspect, who police believe got in through a basement door, is described as an 18 to 25 year-old man, unknown race, with a thin build, wearing a white shirt and possibly glasses.

Following further investigation, police said they've determined the suspect had entered the home twice, once at approximately 12:40 a.m. and again around 2 a.m. He was undetected by residents the first time he entered and walked around the home.

Also new in the case: Police on Wednesday released some home security footage of the suspect, along with a vehicle (seen in the background of the screenshot at left) that may be related to the incident.
