Police looking for tips to ID the suspect

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are hoping someone in the public can help them to identify a man who robbed a fast food restaurant on the city's east side.

On Monday Sept. 16, at around 9 p.m., police said a red 2019 Dodge Charger (seen at left) pulled up to the drive-thru at the business, in in the 17000 block of Harper.

A passenger in the backseat got out of the car; and -- as seen in a security video released by police -- he leans into the window with a gun in his hand.

Police said the man demanded money from the cashier, and then grabbed it himself, before both he fled on foot and the vehicle drove away, eastbound on Harper.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, around 6’0” tall with a thin build and a medium brown complexion.

He was wearing a dark colored t-shirt, pulled up to cover much of his face, and blue jeans and was armed with a black handgun with an extended clip.
