ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed a bank in Roseville.

Investigators are asking for tips from the public to identify the suspect, who was caught on camera at the Citizen Bank branch at 26000 Gratiot Ave., on the northeast corner of Gratiot and Frazho.

Police said the man entered the bank twice on Wednesday. The first time, at 4:15 p.m., he appeared to be talking on a cell phone, didn't approach any employees, and left after a few minutes. About 15 minutes later, police said the man came back and approached a teller; again appearing to be talking on the phone.

He "made verbal demands for cash," police said, the teller complied, and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

No weapon was seen and no one was injured.

The suspect, who remained at large on Thursday, is described as a black male, around 30 years old and 5'5'' tall with a thin to medium build and facial hair on his chin.

He was wearing dark colored hoodie, dark pants, black shoes and a gray ball cap with unknown writing on the front. He was holding a white plastic bag in his left hand. No vehicle was seen.

Releasing video of the suspect, police are hoping someone in the public recognizes him.
