Woman Driving Corvette Sought In Dramatic Detroit Hit-And-Run [VIDEO]

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are looking to identify a hit-and-run driver who was behind the wheel of a Corvette when she hit a pedestrian in downtown Detroit.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7 in the area of Elizabeth and Park avenues, a block west of Woodward Avenue.

According to police, a 33-year-old woman was talking to the driver of a Chevy truck when an unknown suspect in a Corvette began to drive at a high rate of speed. The driver struck the woman, who was standing beside the Chevy, as well as the truck. The suspect then fled north on Park Avenue and west on Elizabeth Avenue. 

The suspect, who was caught on area surveillance cameras, is described as a black female wearing a gray top and gray shorts with white shoes and a black purse.

The suspect vehicle is described as a gray Chevrolet Corvette with tinted windows, a temporary paper license plate in the rear window, and a broken driver side mirror.
