Woman Wanted In Attempted Liquor Theft At Meijer

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Police are trying to identify a woman who attempted to steal liquor bottles from Meijer, but ran off when she was confronted by security officers.

The incident happened just after 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve at the Meijer off Highland and Pontiac Lake roads in Waterford Township. 

According to police, the woman concealed several bottles of liquor and attempted to leave the store after paying for one bottle of pop at the self-serve check out. Loss Prevention Officers intervened and recovered the stolen merchandise, however the woman fled the area in a gray Nissan Altima. 

The woman is described as a white female with long red hair, wearing black pants and a black jacket. She has a tattoo on her right forearm and the word “Bella” tattooed on the top of her right hand.
