DETROIT (WWJ) - Better bundle up, because this week is going to be a cold one.

After a chilly day on Sunday with temps in the mid-40s, showers will arrive in the evening and stick around all day Monday for a total expected rainfall around a half-inch. Although Monday will be rainy, temperatures will be mild around 50 degrees.

Then, forecasters say the wet weather will give way to a cold blast that will stretch from Tuesday to Thursday, with wind chills approaching zero degrees at times. We could also see some snow showers, but it shouldn't be enough for any accumulation.

Temperatures will warm up a little toward the end of the week, but only barely above the freezing mark.

Here's a look at the forecast from the WWJ Weather Team:

Sunday -- Increasing clouds with showers moving in late. High near 46. Low around 43.

Monday -- Rainy and windy with gusts as high as 20 mph. High near 52. Low 31.

Tuesday --A chance of rain before 9 a.m., then a chance of snow; mostly cloudy. High near 36. Low around 18.

Wednesday -- A chance of snow showers; partly sunny. High near 22. Low around 12.

Thursday -- Partly sunny. High near 28. Low around 23.

Friday -- Partly sunny. High near 37. Low around 30.
