DETROIT (WWJ) - A rare and unexpected moment happened at the old Detroit train station as a group of nuns made their way to explore this weekend.

The Michigan Central Station, newly purchased by Ford Motor Company, was open to the public for tours -- those who were there may have been witness to a little divine intervention for the old building with a big heart.

Nuns from The Dominican Sisters of Mary in Ann Arbor dropped by to explore the building.  During a brief chat with a staff member, one of them mentioned that they were actually a choir and they agreed to do an impromptu performance for visitors.

"With a few quick calls and texts, we set them up. It was amazing!" says a spokesperson with Ford.

The Ford video crew was able to capture the moment --which they say was totally unexpected.
