The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Michigan Attorney General’s Office this week announced the arrest and arraignment of 36-year-old Matthew Alain Dimitre.

According to authorities, the investigation began earlier this month when police became aware that Dimitre was producing and sharing child sexually abusive material online. Further investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his Hazel Park home led to his arrest.

Dimitre was arraigned in 43rd District Court Friday on two counts of production of child sexually abusive material, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime and seven counts of distribution of child sexually abusive material.

He remains held in the Oakland County jail awaiting further court proceedings.
