Police: Disgruntled Customer Fired Taser At Detroit McDonald's Employee

DETROIT (WWJ) - A woman could face charges after she fired a Taser at an McDonald's employee in Midtown Detroit, according to police. 

Wayne State University Police told WWJ they responded to a call to the fast food restaurant on Woodward Ave. near the WSU, at around 5 p.m. Thursday, on a report that a disgruntled  customer in a wheelchair tried to shock an employee.

The alleged assailant was still angry when police arrived, yelling at officers and saying she was upset about rude and slow service. 

The woman, who police said eventually calm down, was ejected and banned from the McDonald's, but was not arrested.

The employee wasn't hit by the Taser and no injuries were reported. 

Police said the incident will be investigated and possible assault charges could be filed. The woman's name and age were not released.
