Police: Missing 16-Year-Old Girl Last Seen On Woodward Ave.

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are asking for tips from the public to help bring a missing teenager home safe.

Danaeja Knott, 16, was last seen at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 29, in Detroit's New Center area.

She was leaving a home in the 6500 block of Woodward Ave. on foot, according to investigators, and failed to return.

Knott reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder and takes medication, police said, and has a history of running away. 

She is described as black female, 5'3" tall, with long, black braided hair and an identifiable birthmark on her left arm. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, white shorts and pink and white shoes.

Anyone who has seen Knott or who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's Third Precinct Investigative Unit at 313-596-1340.
