DEARBORN (WWJ) - A man who was barricaded inside a home in Dearborn, drawing a large police presence to the neighborhood, has been taken into custody.

The incident unfolded Tuesday morning at a home along Manor Street near Tireman Avenue.

It wasn't immediately clear why police initially responded to the scene, but officers in tactical gear surrounded the home and were trying to reach the suspect with a megaphone.

Police would not confirm if the man was armed, saying only that officers were dealing with an ongoing situation. There were no reports of injuries or shots fired.

Neighbor Ahamd Srour said police were at the home a couple of weeks ago, and the suspect has been in and out of jail.

"Just troubled, I guess, a lot of problems," he told WWJ's Charlie Langton. "The family's real good, but...just the black sheep of the family I guess."

The incident remains under investigation.
