Police: Road Rage May Have Led To Shooting On I-75 Downriver

BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A late night shooting along I-75 Downriver may have started with a case of road rage. 

The incident happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday on southbound I-75 between Allen and Sibley roads in Brownstown Township.

According to Michigan State Police, a 16-year-old boy said he was driving on the freeway when his car was shot at. The teen told police some sort of road rage incident happened just before the shooting.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark gray Dodge Caravan with Rhode Island license plates. Three or four men were inside the vehicle.

No one was injured. The freeway was closed for about an hour while police were looking for evidence.
