Police: Witnesses Evasive After 18-Year-Old Shot To Death

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say three young people who brought their dying friend to the hospital after a shooting are not cooperating with the investigation. 

The group showed up to the hospital just before 1 a.m. Friday. An 18-year-old man was rushed into surgery with a gunshot wound to his chest, but he died in the emergency room. 

Police say the witnesses -- a 20-year-old man, 19-year-old man and 20-year-old woman -- are being evasive.

The witnesses told police they were in the area of Linwood and Glendale when they heard gunshots and then realized the victim had been shot. 

At this time, police have no suspects.
