September 11, 2018 - 10:45 am

DEARBORN (WWJ) - Officials are working to determine the cause of a power outage that stopped operations at the Ford River Rouge complex in Dearborn for hours.

The power went out shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday at the facility, located at Dix Avenue and Miller Road near I-94 and Schaefer.

The issue affected the entire plant, according to a  Ford Motor Co. spokesperson. The auxiliary lighting stayed on but production lines were down.

The outage lasted a couple hours before power was restored. Officials are still investigating a cause of the outage.

The facility has several factories including Dearborn Diversified and Dearborn Truck Plant, where the F-150 pickup truck is made.
