Detroit Police Search For Missing, Pregnant Teenager

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are searching for a missing teenage girl who is in the second trimester of pregnancy.

Authorities say 15-year-old Larissa Garza, who is 14 weeks pregnant, was last seen around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday in the 3900 block of John R., near the Detroit Medical Center campus in Midtown. Police say Garza was in the area for a doctor's visit and ran from the location. She has not been seen since.

Police describe Garza as a 15-year-old Hispanic girl, approximately 5-foot-1, 120 lbs. with "reddish hair" and glasses. She was last seen wearing a purple polo shirt, white pants with slits on the leg, dark socks and sandals.

The girl's caregiver counselor is concerned for her safety.

Police said Garza is in good physical condition but has poor behavioral condition.
