Mike Pence, Governor Cuomo Aides Test Positive for Coronavirus

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Aides to Vice President Mike Pence and Gov. Andrew Cuomo have tested positive for coronavirus, spokespeople for both lawmakers announced Friday night.

First, was the announcement about Pence's aide:

"‪This evening we were notified that a member of the Office of the Vice President tested positive for the coronavirus," spokesperson Katie Miller said. "Neither President Trump nor Vice President Pence had close contact with the individual. Further contact tracing is being conducted in accordance with CDC guidelines."

Then Melissa ReRosa, secretary to Cuomo said in a statement, "A member of our press office felt ill mid-day Thursday and immediately isolated themselves. This staffer was tested for COVID-19 this morning and that test has come back positive."

She continued, "While none of the other members of the press office are demonstrating COVID-19 symptoms, those who worked in and around the staffer's work station have been place in cuationary quarantine."
