Russian Military Aircraft Lands at JFK With Medical Supplies

A Russian military transport plane loaded with medical supplies to battle the coronavirus pandemic landed at JFK Airport Wednesday afternoon, the Russian government has confirmed. It departed from an airfield outside Moscow earlier in the day.

"Trump gratefully accepted this humanitarian aid," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russia's Interfax news agency on Tuesday night. 

"#HappeningNow: #Russia's largest cargo aircraft An-124 Ruslan with medical supplies has just landed at #NYC," read a tweet. #RussiaHelps the US to stop the spread of #COVID19 pandemic and treat those contaminated with the disease."

The aircraft carried "60 tons of medical equipment, ventilators, masks & other protection gear to assist in fighting real common adversary - #COVID19. politics, just saving lives!" read a tweet from Russian's mission to NATO.
