ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - Police in Royal Oak are investigating after a woman left her home Tuesday night and never returned.

Holly Towery was reported missing by her boyfriend, Allen Reinwasser -- who wrote in a Facebook post that she texted him that she was leaving their home on S. Dorchester Street and going to a store. Shortly after that, Towery's cell phone was turned off. She never made it to the store, according to Reinwasser, and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Police say Towery's phone was found in Pontiac Wednesday afternoon near Giddings Road and Fairway Drive. Records show the last "ping" from the phone was in the area of 12 Mile Road and Stephenson Highway in Madison Heights, roughly 18 miles from where the phone was recovered. Officers and family members searched the surrounding area but still found no signs of Towery or her vehicle.

Towery drives a gray, 2003 Dodge Durango with license plate DBZ 6021. She was last seen wearing a light blue sweatshirt and denim shorts.

The last known images of Towery were captured by her home security camera, which shows her getting into her SUV and driving away. In the video, Towery can be heard telling her young daughter, who she left under the supervision of Reinwasser's son, "I'll be right back. Allen's on his way."

Police haven't yet said if they believe foul play is involved, though Towery's boyfriend reported a handgun missing from the home.

Anyone with information on Towery's whereabouts is asked to contact police at 248-246-3500.
