Serial Carjacking Suspect Caught On Camera At Detroit Gas Station

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are hoping the public can help identify a serial carjacker who was caught on camera at a west side gas station. 

The latest incident happened around 4:15 a.m. Monday at the Exxon gas station on Joy Road just east of Evergreen Road. 

Police say the suspect arrived at the station in an orange Dodge Challenger or Charger, driven by a second suspect, and approached a victim who was pumping gas. The suspect forced the victim out of his car at gunpoint, then fled in the victim's car heading southbound on Evergreen. The victim took off running into the neighborhood and was not harmed.

According to police, the suspect is believed to be responsible for up to six carjackings in the city.
