(WWJ) What's going on in Ann Arbor? A series of random attacks struck the idyllic college town this weekend.

Police are looking for a suspect involved in a pair of unprovoked violent attacks.

In one, a man approached a student sitting in the coffee shop on State Street around 9 p.m. on Saturday, picked up a chair and struck the victim in the back of the head.

He kept going. At about 10:30 p.m., the man approached a woman walking through a park and began punching her, striking her over 15 times.

A witness describes the suspect as a black man, in his late 20’s,  about 5 feet 10 inches tall, clean shaven, wearing a grey coat or hoodie, and a khaki hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ann Arbor Police Department at 734-794-6920.
