DETROIT (WWJ) - Ready or not, more snow is heading for Metro Detroit.

Forecasters say light snow is expected across southeast Michigan on Sunday, bringing the potential of 2 to 3 inches of snow for most of the area. The heaviest snowfall is expected along the I-94 and I-96 corridors.

So, when is it going to snow? Forecasters say most of the snow accumulation will fall during the afternoon and evening. Light snow showers or flurries will then persist into Sunday night.

Accumulating snow will lead to slick roadways and increasingly hazardous travel, especially from late afternoon into the evening. Take caution when driving.

Here's a look at the forecast from the WWJ Weather Team:

Sunday -- Cloudy, chilly; some snow, total accumulation 1-2"; untreated surfaces will be slippery. High 27. Low 21.
