January 29, 2019 - 1:12 pm

ALPENA, Mich. (WWJ) - An 18-year-old man sought by the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team for multiple sexual assaults on minors has been taken into custody.

According to a tweet by the MSP Northern Michigan Post, Noah Allen McBride of Alpena, Michigan, was arrested Tuesday after a tip was provided to Alpena police regarding his whereabouts.  "Thanks to the media for getting this out and to the public for your help," police added.

McBride had been on the run for less than 24 hours after State Police released his name and photo, asked for tips to find the young man.

Police said a felony warrant had been issued charging McBride with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct involving minors.
It's unclear where McBride may have been hiding out, although police earlier said he was believed to have remained in Alpena County.

Police had warned that anyone who attempted to help the teen avoid arrest would be charged with assisting/harboring a known wanted felony fugitive, and a $1,000 cash reward was offered for tips.

Further details about McBride's alleged crimes have not yet been released.
