August 06, 2019 - 11:14 am

BRIGHTON, Mich. (WWJ) - It's a happy ending to a search for an elderly Brighton man with Alzheimer's disease.

Michigan State Police on Monday issued an endangered missing advisory for 79-year-old Kenneth Bernard Moilanen, after he disappeared Sunday afternoon.

Police say Moilanen left his Brighton, at around 3 p.m. Sunday, was last seen in the Farley Road in Putnam Township, and never made it back home. Family and police were concerned for his safety as he didn't take his necessary medication with him.

Late Tuesday morning, police sent out an update saying Moilanen had been located and was back with his family.

No further details were released.
