State Police Targeting Speeding, Distracted Drivers Along M-14 Thursday

August 02, 2018 - 8:12 am

DETROIT (WWJ) - Don't say they didn't warn you.

Michigan State Police are planning a special Traffic Enforcement Detail along M-14 between I-275 and the Wayne-Washtenaw county line on Thursday.

The crackdown will focus on speed, aggressive drivers, seatbelt use and distracted driving, according to police.

"Hopefully we will have a slow day, but something tells me we won't," police cheekily said in a tweet.

State police have been holding similar special enforcement details along the busiest sections of metro Detroit freeways over the past few months.
