DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP/WWJ) - Authorities say arson investigators are looking into a string of fires at a barn, a trailer and at least two other structures in a rural area of Michigan.

Crews responding before 5 a.m.  Monday to a fire in Mecosta County's Deerfield Township, about 140 miles northwest of Detroit, found three structures ablaze, and several fire departments responded to the scenes.  WOOD-TV reported that the Deerfield Township fire was at a large barn at a dairy farm in the 14000 block of Washington Rd.

The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office said, at around the same time, another fire was reported in neighboring Montcalm County.

There were no reported injuries and all of the structures were unoccupied, according to UpNorthLive.com, which reports the Mecosta County Fire Investigation Team, along with Michigan State Police Fire Investigation Unit, are investigating.

No suspects have been described.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious related to these fires is asked to call the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office at 231-592-0150. Or, tipsters can send information in an email to tips@mecostacounty.org.
