DETROIT -- Detroit police are still investigating a shooting on the city's east side Tuesday night that reportedly took the life of local rapper Tee Grizzley's aunt.

Tee Grizzley, whose real name is Terry Sanchez Wallace, Jr., was reportedly riding with his aunt, Jobina "JB" Brown -- who is also his manager -- when she was fatally shot Tuesday night, according to a report from TMZ.

Detroit police could not confirm the identities of the victims or witnesses, but tell WWJ there was a fatal shooting in the 3000 block of 3 Mile Drive around 9 p.m. Tuesday. The ages of two of the victims happened to match the ages of Tee Grizzley, 25, and Brown, 41. A 34-year-old man was also in the car.

Authorities said a 41-year-old female was shot while sitting inside a black Chrysler 300. Just before the shooting occurred, the driver of the Chrysler stopped at a location along 3 Mile, where one of the men exited. Shortly after that, shots were fired at the vehicle and the woman was struck inside the car.

After the shooting, the driver of the Chrysler fled to the area of Buckingham and Mack, where he tracked down police. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where she was pronounced dead.

Police do not have any word on the suspect and no arrests have been made. The Detroit Police Department's Homicide Unit is still investigating the shooting.

Tee Grizzley, a former student at Michigan State University, released his debut single, "First Day Out," in 2016, shortly after being released from prison. The video has been viewed nearly 100 million times on YouTube. He is a signed artist with Atlantic Records.
