DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit teen, sitting in her living room at night, is shot in the head, apparently an innocent victim of random gun violence.

Authorities say three men had been seen running down Appoline Street, in the area of West Seven Mile and Meyers, Sunday around 10:30 p.m. firing weapons. Meanwhile, inside the home on Detroit's west side, the 14-year-old girl told police she felt a pain, then fell over, bleeding. She had been wounded in the temple.

The girl was then rushed to a nearby hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

Few details have been given about the suspects.
