Three Held Up At Gunpoint In Northville

They were supposed to engage in a transaction

July 17, 2018 - 8:50 am

NORTHVILLE (WWJ) Police in this tony suburb are following leads after an online transaction turned into an armed robbery.

The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday near the corner of High and Elm Streets, where the three victims were to make a pre-arranged online transaction.

Things went south, according to WWJ's Ron dewey. The trio was confronted by several others who climbed out of a white four door Pontiac G6.

Some of them were armed, and ordered the victims to the ground.

Nobody was hurt, but a number of items were taken, including the victims' car.

Investigators say the hold-up does not appear to be random, adding at least one of the victims and suspects knew of each other.

Northville police say they're actively pursuing several leads on the suspects.
