INDEPENDENCE TWP. (WWJ) - Authorities are searching for suspects after Nazi symbols, genitalia and other images were painted in an Oakland County neighborhood.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday it's investigating the case in Independence Township -- where several vehicles, street signs, and utility boxes were vandalized in the 5500 block of Chestnut Hill Drive.

Photos released to the media show the vehicles were spray painted with swastikas, penises, stripes and other designs. The utility boxes in the immediate area had a racial slur painted on it, as well as a swastika and the phrase "P Love Peace."
