Tips Sought In Hit-And-Run Of Man On Mini Motorized Bike [VIDEO]

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police need help to track down the driver responsible for a hit-and-run that left a man fighting for his life. 

Police said the 43-year-old victim was riding a motorized mini bike on Schaefer Highway toward Grand River Ave. shortly before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, when the driver of a dark colored car hit him and drove away.

The driver of the vehicle fled the location, on the city's west side, traveling northbound on Grand Rive, police said.

The injured victim taken to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. His name was not released. 

While police released video showing what happened, details remain scarce in this case as police don't have a description of the wanted driver. They do say the suspect vehicle may have front-end damage as a result of the crash.
