Tips Wanted In Case Of 'Buddy' Fatally Shot On 4th Of July

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward

DETROIT (WWJ) - Crime Stoppers of Michigan is asking for tips to solve the case of a young man gunned down on the 4th of July.

Dion Bridges, who goes by "Buddy," was  visiting with family and friends in the 18000 block of Schonherr Street, near 7 Mile Road on Detroit's east side, at around 10 p.m. last Thursday when someone fired several shots. 

The 21-year-old victim was wounded and later died of his injuries.

Crime Stoppers says Bridges was shot "by an unknown person," and no suspects have been named or described. A motive for the killing is also unknown at this time. 

As the investigation continues, a cash reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for the tip that leads to an arrest in this case
