Two Dozen Michigan Beaches Closed Due To Bacteria Levels

ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) - The heat and humidity pour into Michigan today. But if you're looking to cool off at a local beach -- beware.

Two dozen beaches are closed statewide due to high levels of bacteria. Four of those beaches are right here in the metro Detroit area. 

Most of the beaches are located in the Upper Peninsula, which experienced heavy rains and severe flooding earlier this month.

Beaches closed include:
