LAKE ST. CLAIR (WWJ) - Day three of competition in the Fishing League Worldwide pro fishing tournament on Lake St. Clair is underway.

The 180-boat field is now cut to just the top 30. FLW Tour pro angler Chad Grigsby of Maple Grove, Minnesota, is in the lead after bringing in another load of smallmouth bass to the scale Friday -- weighing in 24 pounds 4 ounces to maintain his lead.

Grigsby will start day three of competition with a 10 bass total weight of 50 pounds 1 ounce -- and a slim 4-ounce lead over Costa pro Dylan Hays of Sheridan, Arkansas, with a total 10 bass weight of 49 pounds 13 ounces.

Darrel Robertson of Jay, Oklahoma, is in third place with 46 pounds 9 ounces. And local pro Scott Dobson of Clarkston is in fourth place with 10 bass totalling 46 pounds 5 ounces.

The tournament will run through July 1 with a top award of up to $125,000 cash in the pro division; a $25,000 cash prize has already been awarded to the top co-angler -- with just the pros competing these final two days.

Weigh in is 4 p.m. Saturday and is part of the "Bass Brews and Bar-B-Q" festival this weekend at Lake St. Clair Metropark, located at Metro Parkway and Jefferson in Harrison Township.
