Westland Man Arrested, Charged With Robbing Bank In Northville

NORTHVILLE (WWJ) - A Westland man has been ordered held on a $5 million cash bond, accused of robbing a Northville Township bank.

According to police, the crime occurred the morning of Thursday, September 13, at a Chase bank branch in the 42000 block of 7 Mile Rd. 

That same day police released security camera images from the bank, asking for tips to identify the suspect. 

Following further investigation, 47-year-old Brian Allen Littlejohn was arrested  early Wednesday morning, Sept. 19, in Detroit.

"The Northville Township Police Department would like to thank our local, state and federal law enforcement partners who assisted in this investigation and the apprehension of Littlejohn," police said, in a statement. 

Further details about the robbery and the investigation were not immediately released. 

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged Littlejohn with three felony counts: bank robbery, armed robbery and felonious assault. 

Following an arraignment 35th District Court, Littlejohn remains lodged at the Wayne County Jail.
